Why are we here?
Farming is going through a time of upheaval. As the financial support systems which have underpinned farming for years change, we are also in the front line of climate change and at the mercy of global financial instability.
Funded by ECC, Anglian Water, the RSPB and others we aim to provide guidance and support for our members in this time of transition.
As an independent organisation we are a farmer led Community Interest Company. We aim to provide services and support to farmers, landowners and the rural land based community. Through carefully selected advice, peer to peer learning and collaboration we aim to help food production and land management deliver a sustainable future benefiting the local and wider environment.
OUR SERVICES
Supporting farmers, and landowners and external stakeholders.
ELMS, SFI& CS
The emerging new world of post-Brexit government support for farming. The new systems are beginning to settle down and many farmers are now taking advantage of what can be attractive SFI and CS opportunities. The cluster is a good space to learn more and see what other farmers in your area are already doing. We will be hosting talks and farm walks to do just that.
Regen-Ag
A very well known ‘concept’ in farming circles, there are as many descriptions of what regenerative agriculture is as there are farmers. However within the cluster we have members who are successfully farming this way.
As a cluster we can introduce members and external stakeholders to regen farming. We are also developing landscape scale models of collaboration to deliver financial value for regen practices over and above the benefits you will see in your soil and crops.
Natural Capital
Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), Woodland Carbon, Soil Carbon, Water Units… what’s next?
As farmers take on new markets through how they farm and manager their land we provide support, advice and opportunities in these emerging markets.
